A live brief that was project managed and designed by myself, James Gilmore and Philip Lackmaker. We were asked by Liverpool University to
design the 2008 degree show publication, invites and signage. Working together collectively we designed a 64 page newsprint showcasing this
years talent. The publication was highly successful and recieved alot of acclaim. You can order a free copy of the publication by contacting me here.

A live brief to rebrand an existing retail outlet. I chose the shop 'Resurrection' located near the centre of Liverpool. I based my design on the etymology of the word 'resurrection'. Below are the logo, interior design, catalogue and shop tag.

An eflyer for a upcoming gig at Liverpools Korova bar. The brief was to promote the headline band. Therefore to broaden my skills a little i decided to move away from the mac and do an illustration of the band instead.

n
A personal brief which I redesigned ARP's (Californian experimental music band) debut album and remix album. Visuals were created based on the music. Below are two promotional posters for each album and the other stills are of the CD album mocks.

A client brief were I had to design a series of reports by artists and writers on a art exhibition in Leeds called 'situation leeds'. I decided to create this 48 page pocket sized book. This booklet was to be posted to clients for the gallery I am freelancing for.

This was a client brief, the task was to design a 12 page catalogue, poster and billboard for a Damien Hirst exhibition at the Glucksmann in Ireland. Below is the 12 page booklet I designed. Over 400 copies were printed of this catalogue and it was a very successful brief.

A personal brief were I set myself the challenge of rebranding Mtv and the channels. I wanted to make the logo super slick and contemporary. The
idea behind it was to create a logo that would animate and show it being constructed. Design is based on my passion for geometry and use of
colour.

Accompanying the rebrand design above, are a sample of the Mtv stings, you can see them here.

A live brief which I worked collobaratively with Tom Grant. The brief was to create the next new typographic design for the reissue of FUSE 20. We
designed and created this book which is essentially a DIY pack of 36 ready to make letter/ number form templates. Letter designs are pre-cut and
ready to construct. The below right image is the promotional poster for the launch of the book which used the letters/ numbers from the book with
additional lighting.

This was a personal brief in which I set out to redesign the NHS annual report 2008. It was designed to be a satire of the NHS and its failing
schemes and in that light Ihave taken an experimental appraoch to the layout. Below are the 26 pictograms which are embedded into the report.

This was a personal brief were I wanted to create a set of visuals for the phoentic language. I created a series of 26 symbols each uniquely based
the etymology (roots) of the word. Below is a small pocket sized publication in which each letter in the phonetic alphabet is explained.

A live brief were I had to create visuals that would best convey the shrinking population of Liverpool and Manchester. The designs were then entered into an exhibition in Liverpool. Below is a promotional poster I designed for the exhbition in Manchester.

As part of my university studies I had to write and design my own research assignment. I wrote about the decision making designers face when
using typography. This 84 page hard-back book covers a variety of designers such as Paul Barnes, Stefan Sagmeister and TDR.
